Sunday School
The Church Mice of St Mark’s
Children are always welcome to join any service at St Mark’s and we hold Sunday School on the second week of each month (except August) in the Geoffrey Seddon room, run by Ellen and Mark. They learn and make crafts around a different topic each month and then show the rest of the congregation what they have been doing at the end of the service.
A little bit about the format
Our opening prayer is followed by a story and a craft activity. The atmosphere is fun and informal – simply arrive at church at 9.30am and the children leave the service after the first hymn. They return just before the end of the service to show the congregation what they have learnt and created.
All ages are very welcome with an adult requested to accompany their child(ren), although all our leaders are DBS checked.

Our poem
Sunday School meets in the Geoffrey Seddon room at the back of the church. You may have been in there for tea and biscuits after a service and you may have seen our wall.
There’s lots to see on our wall, you can learn all about the Mice of St Mark’s and you can see what we’ve been up.
There are lovely pictures and some of the things we’ve created at Sunday School.
You can also read our very special poem, written for us by Jessica Murrills.
What We Get Up To
We start with an opening prayer followed by a story and a fun craft activity. We love to show to share what we’ve learnt and created with the congregation at the end of the service.
See the fun we have at Sunday School with stories, crafts and the odd party too!
